Growing Fruit & Vegetables in the Urban Environment - Making the Most of Small Growing Spaces - Build Herb Shelves - Square Foot Gardening - Balcony Gardening - Micro Gardening - Gardening on the Edge

Join us for a day in our yurt learning about Urban Kitchen Gardening.

This course will teach you to grow fruit and vegetables no matter what size space you have (more emphasis is placed on growing in smaller spaces).

We start the day covering all of the fruit and vegetable growing basics - including plot preparation, crop rotation and maximising yield from the space you have.

We will build herb shelves for growing on walls, look at square foot gardening, balcony gardening, vertical gardening, micro gardening, growing on the edge (cascade plants that can be grown over the edge of a windowsill or balcony), the three mothers system and growing in hanging baskets.

Courses include tea, coffee and pastries on arrival, a glorious lunch and then tea, coffee and cake in the afternoon.

You will take home your course materials, a herb shelf that you built yourself and hopefully a big smile and huge sense of achievement!

Courses run from 9:30 - 16:30

The atmosphere is relaxed, the delivery enthusiastic and the content both enjoyable and educational.

Our course numbers are kept small to ensure that you get the most from the day.
